INTRO TO WORSHIP

GREETINGS & WELCOME

CALL TO WORSHIP
If it had not been God who was on our side,
the troubles of our world would have swallowed us whole.
If it had not been God who was on our side,
the sorrows of our times would have swept us away.
Are any among us suffering?
Come and pray.
Are any among us cheerful?
Come sing songs of praise.
Are any among us sick?
Come and ask for healing.
Our help is in our God,
the One who made heaven and earth.
Call upon God, creator and rescuer.
God is on our side. Amen.

OUR CHURCH NEWS

FALL BIBLE STUDY – A Fall Bible study will begin on Tuesday, September 28th, at 7 PM, at the church. All are welcome to join.

CHURCH GRAND RE-OPENING –Immediately following the worship service on Sunday, September 19th, we are inviting the congregation and Sunday School to a luncheon at the Centre to celebrate the Grand Re-opening of the Church. On the menu is hotdogs, pizza and cookies! If possible, if you are planning to attend, please phone or email the church office, so we will know how much food to order/purchase. Also, as we make our way to the Centre, for those interested, Barbara MacIntosh will be offering a little tour of the cemetery; a wonderful opportunity to learn about its interesting history! Please join us as we gather to fellowship and share in this time together.

SUNDAY SCHOOL – Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles…we need teachers/leaders for the Sunday School program! It is not intended to be a weekly obligation – our goal is to have enough leaders to take turns once or twice a month. Please prayerfully consider lending your support to this valuable ministry.

SUMMER STUDENT – We would like to thank our Summer Student, Brenden Donald, for his 9-week work placement with us over the summer. Brenden did a wonderful job keeping our lawns trimmed and well landscaped! Wishing him every success as he heads off to university in the Fall.
