MESSAGE Better Safe than Sorry
Lord we know we are called to give; to give generously to the work of Your kingdom here on earth, to give of our talents, our time and our money. In all the ways we give, we hope to glorify Your name. The offering may be placed in the plates as you enter or as you leave today.
Holy One, Your heart abounds with gifts. Receive this offering as a sign of our trust in You and our intention to live surrounded by Your mercy, inspired by Your Spirit, open to the joy of Your presence, hospitable to one another, and generous toward Your world. Amen.
A MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR OF CHURCH COUNCIL
POSTLUDE Recording by David Bunnell
We are not alone; we live in God’s world.
We believe in God:
who has created and is creating,
who has come in Jesus, the Word made flesh,
to reconcile and make new,
who works in us and others by the Spirit.
We trust in God.
We are called to be the Church:
to celebrate God’s presence, to live with respect in creation,
to love and serve others, to seek justice and resist evil,
to proclaim Jesus, crucified and risen, our judge and our hope.
In life, in death, in life beyond death, God is with us.
We are not alone.
Thanks be to God.
