Bible Verse to Memorize
Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:17-21

As the weak realize their strength;
as the poor eat and are satisfied,
God’s love abides in us.
As the stranger finds a friend;
as the family offers forgiveness,
God’s love abides in us.
As the ends of the earth know of Christ’s grace,
God’s love abides in us.

MESSAGE People & Conflict & Love

God of Wisdom, we rejoice that You have provided us with numerous examples of generous giving. We obediently share this offering in full knowledge that all of our resources and assets are ultimately a gift from You. Help us to use them wisely and to share them generously. We pray in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who gave His life, so we may live abundantly. Amen.
Matthew 22:15-22

What’s up at St. James & St. John?

RICK’S COUNTRY JAMBOREE – Rick has decided to postpone the Jamboree until further notice due to the recent outbreak of COVID-19.

SALVATION ARMY CHRISTMAS PROJECT – The Outreach Team is seeking your assistance with the Salvation Army Christmas Project. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, they are encouraging people, in lieu of hampers, to give monetary donations or gift cards for groceries this year. We are asking the congregation to please assist the Salvation Army with their request. Please leave your donation at the Church Office or on the offering plate, designating it “Salvation Army”. A member of the Outreach Team will deliver all donations to the Salvation Army, who will in turn ensure that all registered families will receive a Christmas they will enjoy. Thank you – The Outreach Team
SOCIAL DISTANCING REMINDER – As we head into the Fall, we want to ensure everyone’s safety; please remember to wear your masks when entering and during the church service and use the hand sanitizer. Also, when leaving the church, those seating closer to the front, please exit through the doors at the front of the church. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work together 😊

BIBLE STUDY – Fall bible studies take place on Tuesday evenings at the church, at 7:00 PM.
