God, let this be a fruitful day!
In this hour of worship,
open our eyes to beauty,
tune our ears to harmony.
The fragrance of your love
permeating every moment.
The touch of your hand
guiding all we do.
Together, we want to taste with delight
the joy of your presence here today.

Old Testament Reading: Ecclesiastes 2:17-23
New Testament Reading: Colossian 3:23-24

This is the word of the Lord
Thanks be to God!

MESSAGE Christian & Victorious

As we offer our gifts to You, Holy God, may we remember those who are forgotten by us too many times – the hungry, the lonely, the homeless, the vulnerable – yet are important citizens in Your kingdom of grace, justice, and hope. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen. (Source: Thom Shuman)

What’s Up at St. James and St. John?

FALL SUPPER TAKE-OUT – The Fall Supper Take-Out was a success, with profits exceeding $4800! Many thanks to all who contributed to the supper; ticket sellers, calling committee, monetary and food donations, food preparation and cooking, buffet servers, delivery of meals, ticket buyers, outdoor cooking setup, greeters, Brookdale Flower Shop, ticket takers. The support and care of many willing hands and hearts made the supper the success it was; with gratitude and thanksgiving – the Fall Supper Team.

RICK’S COUNTRY JAMBOREE – Rick has decided to postpone the Jamboree until further notice due to the recent outbreak of COVID-19.

SALVATION ARMY CHRISTMAS PROJECT – The Outreach Team is seeking your assistance with the Salvation Army Christmas Project. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, they are encouraging people, in lieu of hampers, to give monetary donations or gift cards for groceries this year. We are asking the congregation to please assist the Salvation Army with their request. Please leave your donation at the Church Office or on the offering plate, designating it “Salvation Army”. A member of the Outreach Team will deliver all donations to the Salvation Army, who will in turn ensure that all registered families will receive a Christmas they will enjoy. Thank you – The Outreach Team
SOCIAL DISTANCING REMINDER – As we head into the Fall, we want to ensure everyone’s safety; please remember to wear your masks when entering and during the church service and use the hand sanitizer. Also, when leaving the church, those seating closer to the front, please exit through the doors at the front of the church. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work together 😊

BIBLE STUDY – Fall bible studies take place on Tuesday evenings at the church, at 7:00 PM.
