BIBLE VERSE TO MEMORIZE THIS WEEK:

Today’s Service
(* Indicates when to stand, if you are able.)

A warm welcome to all worshippers especially you who are here for the first time. We gather to worship in God’s presence sustained by the power of the Holy Spirit and encouraged through the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.

GREETING

CALL TO WORSHIP

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God,
and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
And also with you.
Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord, O my soul.
I will praise the LORD all my life;
I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
Do not put your trust in princes, in mortal men, who cannot save.
When their spirit departs, they return to the ground;
on that very day their plans come to nothing.
Blessed are they whose help is the God of Jacob,
Blessed are they whose hope is in the Lord their God,
the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them, who remains faithful forever. (Psalm 146:1-6)

HYMN “Surely the Presence”

WELCOME & ANNOUNCEMENTS

PRAYER OF CONFESSION

We praise you God for the gift of your Son. We acknowledge that we often ignore his authority in our life. We confess that we allow many things to rule our hearts and minds instead of Christ. Forgive the way we forget your word, and ignore your presence. Create a desire in our hearts to know you better, more intimately, more passionately. Grant us your wisdom, guidance and grace to surrender our will to you daily. Holy God, make us holy, make us yours. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
