KIMBERLEY’S KORNER
GREETINGS & WELCOME
CALL TO WORSHIP
In You, O God, every family on earth receives its name.
Illumine our homes with the light of Your love.
We thank You for gifts of love we have received.
From our mothers
and those who have served as mothers in many ways,
nourishing us and guiding us as we grow to be who we are.
As we have been loved by them,
so we are loved by You, O God.
Join with us in this day of celebration
as we rejoice in being loved.
As You grant us peace in Christ Jesus our Lord,
so, we come to worship in His holy name.

Our Church News
DEDICATION GOSPEL CONCERT – We will be hosting an in-person Memorial Gospel Concert at the church on Sunday, June 5th, at 7:00 PM. A form with the hymns to be sung that evening can be found in this week’s bulletin; extra forms have been placed on the table located in the church and the office. The form will also be placed on the church FaceBook page. To donate a hymn(s) in memory or in honor of a loved one, please fill out the form and place it with your donation on the church offering plate or in the mailbox at the Centre. You may also phone or email the church office with your requests; we do accept e-Transfers as well. The deadline to request a memorial is Tuesday, May 31st. The concert will also be livestreamed.
RECEPTIONS FOR FUNERALS – Recently there have been no funeral receptions held at the Church Centre due to Covid. Questions and concerns have been raised with regard to resuming these receptions. To discuss this issue and the continuation of such receptions, there will be a meeting on Monday, May 16th, at 1:00 PM. In the past, funeral receptions were carried out by members of the UCW, however, due to declining membership, it was felt that all members of the congregation should have input and involvement. We are encouraging all interested members to attend this meeting.
SUMMER STUDENT – We have received an 8 week grant for a summer job, beginning June 20th. If you know of any persons, ages 15-30 who would be interested in performing lawn care maintenance, some general office work and possibly, other small projects, please have them send a resume to stjjuc@nbnet.nb.ca or contact the church office at 622-1598 for more information.
CHURCH YARD CLEAN UP – Please join us at the church on Wednesday, May 18th, at 9 am, to clean up the church lawns. Bring your rakes and shovels and remember, many hands make light work. A light luncheon will be provided. (Rain date May 19)
COMMUNION FOR SHUT INS – If you or someone you know would like to receive communion at home, please phone the church office to let us know; Rev. Alice would be happy to take communion to you to those unable to come to church.
SUNDAY SCHOOL SPRING FLING – Calling all Sunday School children! We are having a Spring Fling on Saturday, May 28th, from 10:00 – 12:00 PM at the Church Centre. Singing, games, crafts, snacks, and fun to be had; can’t wait to see you ?
