KIMBERLEY’S KORNER

GREETINGS & WELCOME

CALL TO WORSHIP
In the name of Jesus Christ, I welcome you to worship!
It is a delight to be together in the house of God!
We lift our voices with joyful hearts!
It is right to give God thanks and praise!
May the grace of God, the love of Jesus,
and the communion of the Holy Spirit
be with us now in this hour and always.
Amen.

OPENING HYMN
“Ancient Words”

OPENING PRAYER
Holy Spirit, we ask that in our worship service today,
You would fill us with Your power so that when we leave
and go out into the world,
we may speak the word of God with boldness and effectiveness; and we ask it in Jesus’ mighty name.

SCRIPTURE
John 17:1-4
Isaiah 43:7
“Bring all who claim me as their God,
for I have made them for my glory.
It was I who created them.”

This is the word of the Lord.
Thanks be to God!

SUMMER STUDENT – Once again, we have received an 8 week grant for a summer job, beginning June 20th. If you know of any persons, ages 15-30 who would be interested in performing lawn care maintenance, some general office work and possibly, other small projects, please have them send a resume to stjjuc@nbnet.nb.ca or contact the church office at 622-1598 for more information.

CHURCH YARD CLEAN UP – It’s that time of year for the church grounds to be cleaned up. Please join us at the church on Wednesday, May 18th, at 9 am, as the church lawns desperately need our tender loving care. Bring your rakes and shovels and remember, many hands make light work. A light luncheon will be provided. (Rain date May 19)

FOOD BANK – We would like to encourage members of the congregation to continue their donations to the Food Bank. You may place your items on any Sunday, in the baskets located on either side of the entrance into the sanctuary. Thank you for your continued support – The Outreach Team.

COMMUNION FOR SHUT INS – If you or someone you know would like to receive communion at home, please phone the church office to let us know; Rev. Alice would be happy to take communion to you to those unable to come to church.
