INTRO TO WORSHIP

GREETINGS & WELCOME

CALL TO WORSHIP
When I think of God’s presence in the world, I am grateful:
Grateful for the presence of hope; grateful for the gift of life.
And when I think of God’s presence in my life, I am humbled:
Humbled by the gift of grace;
humbled by the invitation to begin again.
And when I think of God’s presence in this community, I am glad:
Glad to be surrounded by holy people
worshipping our Holy God.
Thank you all; thank you, God. Beth Merrill Neel

Our Church News

The menu will consist of Lobster, potato salad, coleslaw, roll and dessert. Tickets are $25 each and available at the Church Office, Dickison’s Pharmasave and Brookdale Flower Shop until June 17th. (Tickets will pre-sold)

VIRTUAL MEMORIAL GOSPEL CONCERT – We would like to thank all those who donated memorials in memory and in honor of your loved ones. We have displayed all the dedications that were sang in the memorial concert on our church FaceBook page. We apologize for the three dedications that were not announced during the evening. They are: “To the River” dedicated in loving memory of Ellen MacKay by her loving family. “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” dedicated in loving memory of Ellen MacKay by her loving family. “I’ll Fly Away” dedicated in loving memory of deceased members of the Baisley & Stewart families by Bobby & Betty. “In the Garden” dedicated in loving memory of my parents Helen and Norman Somers by Gwen Geikie. While the concert was not without some sound issues, we are proud of what we produced for our first Live-streamed concert. Covid has certainly encouraged us to try ‘new’ things. Many thanks to all who participated in this concert, lending their musical gifts and talents – we feel extremely grateful and blessed! We raised a total of $1840 from the generous donations! Thank you!

SUMMER GRANT – Once again, we have received a grant for a summer job. Please note the change in the requirements: this individual must be between the ages of 15-30 years old and does not have to be seeking post-secondary education in the fall. If you know of any person interested in performing lawn maintenance and some light office duties, etc., please have them contact the church office at 622-1598 or by sending an email to stjjuc@nbnet.nb.ca
