What’s Up at St. James & St. John?

ADVENT CANDLE BANNERS – Thank you to Barbara Stothart for the beautiful banners she embroidered for the Advent Candles.

CHURCH DECORATING – Many thanks to members of Unit 7 for the beautiful decorating of the church and to those who placed the lovely trees outside the church. It certainly adds to the festivity of the season!

20th ANNUAL MEMORIAL ANGELS PROJECT– If you wish to place an angel on the Christmas tree in the church, in memory or in honor of a loved one, you may do so by placing your request and donation on the church offering plate on Sunday mornings, at the church office, or in the mailbox at the church center. Requests must be submitted by Friday, December 18th. Thank you, Pastoral Care Team

SINGING THROUGH ADVENT – If you would like to offer a solo through the Advent season, please contact Nancy at 622-1308 or the church office 622-1598. Music makes everything better 😊

LIVE STREAMING – Live-streaming of the Worship service is now available on Facebook at 11:00 AM. However, it will also be recorded and the link will be placed on the website and Church Facebook page on Sunday afternoons.

SALVATION ARMY CHRISTMAS PROJECT – The deadline to donate a gift card or monetary donation for the Salvation Army Christmas Project is Monday, December 14th. Thank you, The Outreach Team.

CHURCH ENVELOPES – The church envelopes are ready for pickup; they are located on the table at the back of the church. Many members have been unable to attend church services – it would be much appreciated if those who are in church on Sundays, could deliver the envelopes to the members who live close by.

MEMBER OF CONGREGATION MOVED – Mary Houlston, a member of our congregation since 1943, has moved to Fredericton to live with her daughter and family. Mary was an active member of the congregation; singing with the Senior choir for approximately 45 years. For many years Mary made it possible for other seniors to come to church by driving them every Sunday; she will be missed! Here is her new address for anyone who would like to wish her well:
215 Bradshaw Drive, New Maryland, NB, E3C 1H3

REGISTER FOR CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICES – Due to limited seating we will be taking reservations for the 4:00 PM and 7:30 PM Christmas Eve services this year, by phoning or emailing the church office. Please note, a 2:00 PM service will be offered if the 4:00 PM service is filled. Please help us spread the word. Thank you.
