BIBLE VERSE TO MEMORIZE THIS WEEK:
“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14
(* Indicates when to stand, if you are able.)
A warm welcome to all worshippers especially you who are here for the first time. We gather to worship in God’s presence sustained by the power of the Holy Spirit and encouraged through the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
(*Indicates when to stand, if you are able.)
We have lit candles for hope, peace, and joy. The fourth candle on the Advent wreath is for love. In this season of waiting, we are called to remember that God has always so loved the world. When the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, it was not a new development. Jesus’ birth was in keeping with the Divine self-revelation that has existed since the before the beginning of time. God’s love is for all people, in all places, in all times. God’s love does not end and there is nothing, human or spiritual, that can separate us from that love, poured out through Christ Jesus our Lord. Rev. Alice lights candles
Holy and loving God, Your love is the greatest gift of our lives. It brings us into this world and it meets us in the life of the world to come. May Your love so shape our lives that our daily actions reveal Your light to the world. Come, Lord Jesus. Amen.

Festival of Carols
Joy to the world! The Lord is come; Let earth receive her King.
Let ev’ry heart prepare Him room,
And heav’n and nature sing, and heav’n and nature sing,
And heav’n, and heav’n and nature sing.
O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant;
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem!
Come and behold Him born the King of angels!
O come, let us adore Him! O come, let us adore Him!
O come, let us adore Him, Christ, the Lord!
Silent night, holy night, all is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin mother and Child.
Holy Infant so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace, Sleep in heavenly peace.
Hark! the herald angels sing, “Glory to the newborn King;
Peace on earth, and mercy mild, God and sinners reconciled!”
Joyful, all ye nations, rise, Join the triumph of the skies;
With th’angelic host proclaim, “Christ is born in Bethlehem!”
Hark! the herald angels sing “Glory to the newborn King.”
He rules the world with truth and grace,
and makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness, and wonders of His love
And wonders of His love,
And wonders, wonders of his love.
