Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God”.

Today’s Worship Service

As we gather, may your Spirit work within us,
As we gather, may we glorify your name.
Knowing well that as our hearts begin to worship,
We’ll be blessed because we came.

Eternal God, open our minds to hear your word,
Open our hearts to love your word,
Open our lives to be obedient to your word,
Through the power of your Spirit and the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Matthew 14: 22 – 33

Gracious God, as people called to be your presence in the world,
We search our hearts, and ask your forgiveness:
For opportunities not taken,
For care not given,
Forgive us, we pray.
For sorrow not shared,
For joy not celebrated,
Forgive us, we pray.
For love not offered,
Forgiveness not extended,
Forgive us, we pray.
For those failings we cannot speak aloud,
Forgive us, we pray.
Gracious God, we seek your healing grace,
And ask forgiveness in the name of Jesus. Amen.

WORDS OF ASSURANCE The good news is God is with us for good. God calls us to celebrate and listen. We are loved. We are forgiven before we even ask. God offers us a new beginning every day to learn His ways and love more fully.

MESSAGE Water Walking

In sharing our offering, we celebrate God’s love and abundance in the world. In our generosity, we recognize that we are all part of God’s family. In our giving, we dare to imagine that God will use our gifts in the world to do great things; more than we can imagine!

God of grace, we hear Your call to generous giving
in the way You meet our needs each day,
and in the peace you give which surpasses all understanding.
Having received so much, we offer all we have, our time, talents and monetary giving, for your kingdom.
Bless these gifts for the work of your church. Amen
