Today’s Service
(* Indicates when to stand, if you are able.)

They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.

God we are a people who face many challenges and fears. Touch our inner beings with strength that assures, a hope that inspires, and a love that empowers. Lead us in new ways; protect us from old worries; guide us to a renewed vision of Your call upon our lives. Amen.

OPENING HYMN #371 “Open My Eyes, That I May See”

Gracious God, who created us in your image, we are grateful for all that you have done for us, for all that you are doing in us, and all that you will do through us. Open our eyes to see your presence among us, mobbing in powerful ways at all times and in all places. Open our ears to hear familiar words in new ways – ways that will change us to be. Grant us the power and the courage to come out of the darkness and into the light of Jesus Christ, that we may serve you by loving and serving others, in Jesus’ name.
And as Jesus taught, we continue to pray, saying:
Our Father, who art in heaven ….

HISTORY MOMENT Our Church Beginnings

HYMN #570 “Jesus’ Hands Were Kind Hands”

Eternal God, in the reading of scripture, may Your Word be heard; in the meditations of our hearts, may Your Word be known; in the faithfulness of our lives, may Your will be known. Amen.

OFFERTORY 541 “Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow”

Loving God, we return to You a small measure of what You have given us. May Your will be done in our world through this Your church. Amen.
