INTRO TO WORSHIP

GREETINGS & WELCOME

CALL TO WORSHIP
Alleluia! Christ is risen!
Christ is risen indeed! Alleluia!
We have not seen the risen Christ,
But we see him in the lives
of those transformed by grace.
We have not seen Jesus face-to-face,
But we have seen him in the faces
of everyone whose love encourages us.
We have not touched the wounds from the cross,
But we have been called to bring healing
to the scarred of the world. Amen.

OPENING HYMN
“This is the Day”

OPENING PRAYER
Breathe the breath of new life into us, O Lord,
that we may fully feel the power of your love
and the awesome glory of the resurrection
of your Son Jesus Christ.
Prepare us to receive your blessing
and then to go from this place to be a
blessing to others in your name. AMEN.

MESSAGE
Life After Easter

PASTORAL PRAYER

THE LORD’S PRAYER

SPECIAL MUSIC
“The Power of Love”

DEDICATION
Holy One, we do not doubt that Jesus, the Messiah, lives again. Yet, only one short week from Easter, our thoughts are cluttered with finite, insignificant activities and agendas. Instead of remaining focused on the abundance of divine transformation, we return to a pessimistic mindset of scarcity.
Refocus our attention on the joy of Easter,
so that we may recognize all that we have received
and be led to give cheerfully.
We pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

CLOSING HYMN
“In the Bulb”

BENEDICTION

POSTLUDE

Positive Thought for the Week
May your troubles be less,
and your blessings be more,
and nothing but happiness come through your door.
Have a great week!

CHURCH YARD CLEAN UP – It’s that time of year for the church grounds to be cleaned up. Please join us at the church on Wednesday, May 18th, at 9 am, as the church lawns desperately need our tender loving care. Bring your rakes and shovels and remember, many hands make light work.
