INTRO TO WORSHIP

GREETINGS & WELCOME

CALL TO WORSHIP
Come and worship, people of God!
Let’s celebrate with songs of praise!
For our God—the Most High
is seated on his holy throne,
Sovereign over all the earth!
Let’s worship God together.

OPENING PRAYER Chris Sturgeon (Video)
Holy God,
your people have come here to worship:
They have come from differing situations and
with many differing needs.
We ask that in this service you will
meet with them and deal with those needs.
Keep not only our ears but also our
hearts and minds open;
For it is in this way that we can
receive your power and strength. Amen

CONGREGATIONAL HYMN “I Come to the Garden”

PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION Nancy Russell (Video)
Ever-rising God, just as you lifted the eyes of the disciples
to the rising Jesus at his ascension,
so, lift our eyes to you as we hear your holy word today,
that we too might turn our eyes toward the need of the world
and follow in your way through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

SCRIPTURE
Matthew 26:36-46

DEDICATION
Heavenly Father, you know the condition of our bank accounts as well as you know the condition of our minds and hearts. We can’t hide anything from you. Receive our gifts and use them for your good purposes in the
world. Guide us to be your servants; may we listen when you speak! Amen.
