PRELUDE
GREETING
CALL TO WORSHIP
The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light.
The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness has not overcome it.
Those who dwelt in the land of deep darkness,
on them light has shined.
We have beheld Christ’s glory,
glory as of the only Son from the Father.
For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given.
In him was life, and the life was the light of all people.
* INTROIT #60 Verses 1-4 “O Come All Ye Faithful”
ADVENT CANDLE LIGHTING
Every year we light our candles.
We watch the flames flicker with wonder.
God’s light is here.
This light is life for all people.
The darkness will never overcome it.
The Word is with us. Thanks be to God.
(Light the Christ candle.)
