GREETING

CALL TO WORSHIP
Why have you come this morning?
We come to experience the Risen Christ.
How will you know him?
Through the love and life we feel present
in this gathering of the Body of Christ.
What will you do with this experience?
We will go forth, witnesses to this amazing act of love.
Come, then, people of God, let us worship our Easter God.

God of grace and power,
we have longed and prepared for this joyous day:
on Ash Wednesday we humbled ourselves before you,
on Maundy Thursday we learnt a new commandment,
on Good Friday we cried at the foot of the cross,
and on this Blessed Sunday we rejoice in the risen power of love, hope, and new life.

Let us be people of joy. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

SNACK TIME Youth Program and Confirmation Class meet every Friday and they not only study but have fun and snack time as well. If you are available to bake some goodies and bring them to the Church Centre it would be very much appreciated. We all know that food and sharing bring us together.

THANK YOU On behalf of the cast and crew of “The Mapleton Die-Nasty”, we wish to extend our most sincere appreciation and gratitude to Connie MacRae and Nancy Russell for graciously offering to organize all the desserts and kitchen duty for the dessert theater – such a relief to entrust this huge endeavor to your capable hands. Many thanks to the members of Maple Glen United Church and all those who worked and/or made the delicious desserts; as the old cliché goes, ‘many hands make light work’. None of this would have been possible without all your support and contribution – thank you, thank you! We would also like to acknowledge all theater-goers for continuing to attend and enjoy these productions – you give us reason to perform and share our talents. Many thanks to anyone who contributed in any way to the victory of this dessert theater! Cast and crew
